① How would you describe your experience with Bagua Zhang so far?

My experience with Bagua Zhang has been incredibly rewarding. I’ve loved the unique challenges it presents both mentally and physically. It’s pushed me far beyond what I’ve experienced in typical workouts, helping me grow in ways I didn’t expect. The combination of movement, focus, and internal discipline has been unlike anything I’ve done since doing gymnastics — and I have genuinely enjoyed every step of the journey so far.

② Is there anything about Bagua Zhang that surprised or challenged you?

Bagua Zhang has definitely challenged me, especially because of my limited flexibility. What really surprised me, though, is how beautiful the practice is — the circular patterns and flowing transitions make it feel almost like a dance. I didn’t anticipate how graceful and meditative it would look and feel.

③As a former gym coach, how does Bagua Zhang feel different from other forms of exercise?

As a former gym coach, what stands out to me most about Bagua Zhang is the balance it requires — not just physically, but in how you move. Unlike traditional workouts that often focus on power and tension, Bagua challenges me to stay strong without becoming rigid. It’s a constant interplay between strength and softness, effort and flow. That kind of mindful control is something I didn’t really experience in more conventional forms of exercise.
